Its cold, dreary, and wet in Chicago today - perfect cozy weather! Before you settle into a warm woolen blanket though, do some quick prep work for my homemade chicken noodle soup recipe... in a slow cooker of course.

Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 1/4 cup dill
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 1 cup chopped carrot
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 3 chicken breasts
Directions
- Melt butter in large pot. Saute celery, carrot, and onion for 10 minutes.
- Add to slow cooker with spices, broth, and chicken breasts. Cook for 8 hours on low heat. Just before serving, add egg noodles and cook until tender.
