Ingredients
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- 2 cups basil leaves, packed
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- Salt to taste
Directions
- Over medium heat, lightly toast the pine nuts until a beautiful golden brown and remove from heat.
- In a food processor, add the basil leaves, garlic, and parmesan, pulse to lightly mix. Continue pulsing, adding the pine nuts. When the mixture is finely chopped.
- Switch to the lowest speed and slowly add the olive oil until it becomes smooth.
- Salt if necessary.
