Celebrating Pride in Chicago

Celebrating Pride in Chicago

We celebrated Pride in Chicago last weekend. This city has a long and rich history of LGBTQ+ activism and culture, and it's always a great place to be during Pride.

We started the weekend with a visit to the Chicago History Museum's exhibit on the history of LGBTQ+ rights in the city. It was a fascinating look at how far we've come, and it was inspiring to see how much progress had been made.

On Sunday, we attended the Pride parade. It is always a huge event, with hundreds of thousands of people marching and celebrating.

I hope you had a chance to celebrate Pride this year, wherever you are. It's a time to be proud of who you are, and to celebrate the progress that we've made as a community.

Here are some other ways to celebrate Pride in Chicago:

  • Visit Pride Fest, which is a two-day festival with live music, food, and vendors.
  • Take a walk or bike ride through the Boystown neighborhood, which is the heart of Chicago's LGBTQ+ community.
  • Visit the Legacy Walk, an outdoor exhibit that tells the stories of LGBTQ+ pioneers.
  • Attend a drag or comedy show.
  • Volunteer with a local LGBTQ+ organization.

No matter how you choose to celebrate, I hope you had a wonderful Pride Month!
